Sent: 29/12/08 13:14hrs Hi Howard, Thanks very much for your e-Mail and the free 'e' Version of your book "Student of a Master", I look forward to reading it, and in doing so, taking another step along my own path in 'Tai Chi Chuan'. Can I say, that it was nice to meet you in person for the first time when you came up to Edinburgh in November this year, and as Denise (my own instructor) said I would, I certainly enjoyed all of your classes that I attended. I met some really nice people and I went away from each one having had a great time, but also realising that I have a lot to learn; a challenge which I will (hopefully) over the future years meet. I look forward to seeing you again in 2009 when you are next back in Scotland , but in the meantime, can I wish you and your 'better half' as they say here: "EVERYTHING THAT YE WISH YERSEL, FUR TWA THOOSANT AN NINE". Best Regards Jim

training on Saturday.
Sent: 12/12/2007 17:45 Hi Howard, Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the course on Saturday. It was great to practice some sticky hands again & to learn a few more movements of the form. I particularly enjoyed (needed!) the meditation techniques and was amazed by the posture correcting exercises. _ Fantastic Stuff. Keep It Coming…… Best Wishes to you and Gisela for Christmas & New Year Mark l Alston

17 May 2007 21:42 Hi Howard The 3 Scottish courses were a great success and all the students send you their thanks. Total attendance in all, was around 88 students and they all had a wonderful time. Already they are asking when you are next back in Scotland. The Feng Shou day was great fun, however, I think the students are going home practising on their family! What have you started? As they say in Scotland, 'Haste ye back.

Hello Howard,
back in Germany I want to write you a few words.
It was wonderful to see you, Gisela and the others again. I am happy that I
met a teacher like you. I always love the time in Scarborough, its like a
big family.
There were so many things I learned at the course. Its a little bit hard to
express my feelings in English, so let me say a simple thing:
Thank you for that wonderful time.

Thanks Howard - The stuff on Chinese Characters etc is very enlightening! Thanks also for this Saturdays training session - you know when I arrived I was dog tired & really couldn't imagine how I was going to manage a 6 hour course - yet somehow the days practice filled me with Energy and I am still buzzing now, 36 hours later. Chinese Magic! See you next month Best Wishes Mark

Nin Zao Howard, Sorry I could not respond sooner. What can I say Howard a Phenomenal Weekend both inside the course and outside the course. I am always struck by how much I learn when I'm over there in every respect, it is at times awe inspiring...
Anthony :Dublin Sent: Mon 20/11/2006 16:47 Hi Howard and Gisela just wanting to say thank you for a most enjoyable Tai Chi Training Course on Saturday just gone. I picked up and learnt a lot on the day to help me enhance my Tai Chi practice at home . It was not only good again to see Denise and my other friends from Scotland (Haggis and Funny Money) but to say hello to some different people and as always the people at the courses make me feel very welcome. May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. All the Best Howard Shaun
Sent: 22 November 2006 19:43 Dear Howard, Since I last e-mailed you I have joined Mark's class in Wakefield and am enjoying learning Tai Chi in more depth. The most difficult part has been to unlearn some bad habits but everyone has been very supportive and I feel that I am at last moving forward and improving my technique. Mark and the other local instructors are a credit to your training and great ambassadors for the art. I am planning to attend the Tai Chi day on 16th December and very much look forward to meeting you there. I have no doubt I shall gain considerably from the sessions.
With kind regards. Janice Cane

Good morning Gisela and Howard. Just thought I'd drop a few lines to say thank you for Redcar Howard, I learned heaps and really enjoyed myself. Love my new uniform. I will be at the course on the 18th, I'm just a little nervous of the heading 'Advanced', because I have done very little stick or silk? Looking forward to seeing you both again, Mary. Dear Howard and Gisela,
I would like to thank you both again for a
wonderful day!
The atmosphere was warm and friendly and I met a
bunch of smashing human beings! Only one thing was missing....where were all
those egos??? couldn't find one!!!
Gisela, thank you for the tuition. You taught me
so much in such a short time. My form has improved and it's all thanks to your
ability as a teacher.
I will be back for sure!
Keep up the good work, for good work it is indeed!

Dear Howard and Gisela
What a great day we had at
the Edinburgh course. It was very busy indeed and everyone (45 of us)
enjoyed the day. It was amazing to see students from Redcar, Leeds and
Hull coming all the way to Edinburgh to train with you, and I would like to
thank them for their support in travelling to Scotland. We look
forward to the regular courses you are planning for Edinburgh, so we may
progress in our training with you.
Thank you.

19 July 2006 13:10 Hi Howard, I just wanted to tell you how
much Mary and I enjoyed the course on Sunday. Mary learned such a lot as
to the applications and how it changes the way you perform tai chi and the
meanings behind moves. I myself absolutely love this and realise how much
I have to learn. The respect, training and
help, given to me at all your courses, from your students and Instructors
is very impressive. Your support by teaching me
and coming to Scotland, has lifted my spirit and made me realise what I am trying
to do up here is very worthwhile indeed. In
the future, if I am ever good enough at my training, I will be honoured to
say I am one of Howard's Instructors. Thank
you. Kind Regards Denise
Received 19th February 2006 Hi Gisela , Was absolutely knackered by
the time I got in -slept like a log though. I had a great time too-I love coming
training it just a complete break and so Received 19th February 2006 Thanks for the great Tai Chi Instructors’ day. I learned so
much about sticking hands, whirling hands and arms; thanks to everyone I trained
with - they were unfailingly generous with passing on their skills. You have a
really talented bunch there Howard. Best wishes Mark Received 5th November 2005 Dear Howard and Gisela |
