Summer Course

No matter how long you have been practising our special arts you will learn a great deal more, and most importantly improve your understanding of our very unique style. There will be other highly skilled instructors in attendance, and this opportunity to train with them should not be missed. This is an investment which will vastly improve the quality of your T'ai Chi and give you an insight into the other fascinating arts presented during the week.

Starting the course at 1pm on Monday the first day allows people time to travel down that morning instead of the day before.

The early start and finish on Wednesday is to allow time to enjoy the surrounding area.

A trip to Robin Hoods Bay or Whitby only means a 25min drive, York is also only 1 hour from Scarborough.

A short break to refresh the body and mind before diving back into this special event.

We have outside training space plus large hall and kitchen facilities. Below is a brief overview of what to expect.

Although you will need to have a flexible attitude as the days may well get rearranged to suit weather conditions.

Last year we had lots of rain during the course of the week but worked with the weather, changing the training schedule

to suit conditions and had what can only be described as a brilliant week's training.

Hello Howard and Gisela,

I had a good journey home. It was good to go to the airport with Tristan. We had a very good conversation.

The summer course was a very very great one to me. These five days had such a depth/profundity (don't know which word is correct, sorry). Unfortunately they ran so fast, I can't believe that. But for me, this is an indication for the amazing stuff we did!

To train five days in series with you and all the others is not only good to get better skills but it's also a real pleasure because all the people were so nice. It was an impressive ambiance.

Thank you very much for that wonderful course.

Best wishes from Germany for you and all the people I met.

Armin

Hi Howard,
Well I am home safely and reflecting on the most wonderful week.  I thoroughly enjoyed the Summer course and spending time with such a lovely bunch of people, and I can't even begin to quantify how much I have learnt.  My head and my notebook are full; it will be hard to decide which elements to practise first.  I really enjoyed the massage day, have developed a passion for the sword, and surprisingly find that I am now a convert to Feng Shou.  Didn't think I would be saying
that at all, but lots of mental blocks that have held me back got swept away this week. Thank you for this 'special event'.  It must have been as tiring for you presenting the course and giving us all your time and expertise as it was for us, but I hope that you enjoyed it too. Thank you also to all the other students because we helped, and had something to offer each other, during our training together.
Many best wishes, Janice

Hi Howard,
Thanks for a great week it was worth the wait. I hope I can put all the new stuff  and improvements into practice. It was all very helpful and I am sure I will make more forward steps from now. It was also good to get to know the other members from far and wide who attended.
best wishes, Ian

Hi Howard,

Well, what a tremendous week that was! I learnt such a lot my head is still spinning.  It really is a privilege to train with you.  I also want to thank all of your wonderful advanced trainer/teachers who gave their valuable time in helping me understand a little more. They were all so generous, patient and enthusiastic. I wonder who fostered those beautiful qualities in them all?!!!!!  Thank you to Gisela, who I know is such a valuable part of The East West Taoist Association. I am so looking forward to September 19th.

See you then.

Best regards,  Sarah.

Founder and Dean of the INTEGRATIVE COLLEGE OF HOLISTIC MEDICINES:

“Now, at the start of the 21st century, we are living in an age of greater personal awareness and spirituality. The Training Course, taught by MASTER HOWARD GIBBON provides the most concise guide to Holistic Health available, and also addresses the very issues that are central to the movement.

The Training Course lays great emphasis on the fact that although the majority of people are still hoping for the ‘quick fix’ to health that the last century promised, increasingly more people are aware that they are responsible for their own health and not others. The Training Course shows in very simple terms how to achieve optimum health with least effort.

The T’ai Chi Training Course illustrates the benefits from a holistic point of view on the following practices:

                                                                                                            T’ai Chi Ch’uan

                                                                                                            K’ai Men (Chi Gung)

                                                                                                            Dao Yin (Respiratory Therapy)

During my many years in practice in Holistic Medicine covering the whole spectrum of therapies I have had the honour to meet a few practitioners of unquestionable ability and dedication to their art. MASTER HOWARD GIBBON ranks highly with any of them. This becomes immediately obvious when one watches this modest man in action. He has a unique empathetic way of teaching where even in a class of a number of students one feels they are the only ones being taught. MASTER HOWARD GIBBON’S many filled classes throughout the North - East of England are a true testimony to this man who has dedicated his life to the cause.

Howard is a holder of the highest grade issued by Grandmaster Chee Soo
