The New Revised Edition of The Beginners Short Form DVD

The one that puts you in control of your own T'ai Chi training program

Howard, Many thanks for your prompt response - I received the new DVD yesterday. As I have been struggling with "The Stork is Aroused" and "The Double Whip" sequences at my local Tai Chi classes for the last three weeks, I am pleased to say that I have now cracked it by following your crystal clear instructions on the DVD.

Thanks again, Mr. Joseph William Taylor

Filmed from four directions

All the short form moves are filmed from all four angles as well as having an audio section where Howard takes you through each of the 15 sets in the short form move by move, a beginners' dream.

It’s just like having a personal lesson right there in your own home

You could start by watching the introduction, that shows one of our class at practice first.

Then go on to the training menu where you can pick any set of moves with audio instruction with Howard.

This is filmed indoors to allow better sound conditions. If you are new to the set you may prefer this option.

Choose from four viewing angles

The set title runs at the top of the screen and as you watch and follow the numbers change along with the stances as you pass from one to the next. This makes learning them easier than ever before, a big bonus if you are a teacher trainee and also great preparation for those of you considering taking the next teacher training course.

Choose the left or right view and it’s as if you are standing next to Howard in the training hall following move by move. Each section repeats itself, so no need to keep fiddling with the remote.

Just let it run, it will repeat over and over (Howard’s stamina is amazing!). When you are ready press the menu button on your remote and move to another viewing angle or to one of the other 15 sets.

The back view is like following in class whereas the front view gives an excellent view of the hand and arm movements, so checking them is easy.

This will help you get a feel for the flow of the T’ai Chi Form

When you have learnt a few sets you may like to watch Howard demonstrating the complete short form and follow along as far as you have learnt. This will help you get a feel for the flow of our unique T’ai Chi Form.

Howard has worked long and hard on this DVD. And this new production has only been possible because of your support for his work and he would like to thank you for that.

T’ai Chi Short Form Manual Included

Instructions on how to transfer the T’ai Chi Short Form manual which is embedded on the DVD onto your computer is included in the menu. You can then print the manual out or also add a hardcopy of the manual to your order.

‘Helping People To Help Themselves Gain Better Health

Then Help Them To Share That With Others’

Howard’s mission of using our wonderful health arts to: ‘Help People To Help Themselves Gain Better Health - And Then Help Them To Share That With Others’ is a work in progress. This DVD is a fantastic tool to compliment that work.

Thank you for your support

Howard would like to thank you for your support by buying his DVDs and manuals over the years. This has enabled us to bear the ever increasing cost of each future production. We even make a profit now. Which all helps as it allows Howard more time to work on these training aids.

As you will see from the DVD two cameras and two cameramen, correction, one camera woman, Howard’s wife Gisela “under paid” she tells me, and one hired camera expert were required for each take.

However, like me I think you will agree the result is worth the extra expense. The inserts show a close up of the intricate footwork, and some of the more awkward hand movements.

37 years in the making

Howard’s experience of practising and teaching these arts over the last 37 years makes the format that this DVD follows even more valuable because it makes the learning process easier, and quicker. You see when you buy one of Howard’s DVD you are not buying just another T’ai Chi DVD but access to that 37 years of dedicated training and teaching experience.

Of course a DVD can never totally replace personal instruction in class from a qualified teacher. But it enhances the learning process in a way that has never been possible before.

We have a wonderful unique style taught by Chee Soo and Howard has devoted a large part of his life, not least the 21 years spent under Chee Soo tutelage, to passing on these arts he says he was so privileged to learn from Chee Soo.

Unable to attend a class

Howard says his main reason for making this new DVD is that it will bridge the gap between classes and for new students. Beginners unable to attend a class because there isn’t one in their area, or perhaps not at a convenient time, now have a chance to try our unique style at home for themselves.
